There she was in front of me alive.
Anger!
She was alive
Love!
Samiya was alive
Joy!
Samiya had lied
Disappointment!
Samiya was a terrorist.
Resentment!
Samiya looked vulnerable.
Compassion!
I found myself in her arms unsure whether to love or to dread her. Maybe I would work out my feelings later for now I would just enjoy the moment maybe it was one of those cruel dreams that we have. At the moment of extremely perfect joy you wake up and you suffer the greatest disappointment because you know that the joy of the moment was a lie and you will never experience it again.
Samiya pushed me away and she gave me a vicious clap. I knew that this was no dream.
“You should have stayed away.”
“But why...”
“Because we were living a lie, my world and your world will never agree.”
“I am my father’s daughter, you have a responsibility to your people and I have a responsibility to mine.”
“So everything was a lie...”
“That is what you and I do, we lie, that what we are trained to do.”
“To me that was not a lie, everything I said I meant.”
“I am sorry but you should have not come… I was just doing my job and I will continue to do my job.”
“How can you say that people are being killed because of the decisions your father makes…even to you that can never be right.”
“My father did not start this, he was forced to defend his people, and I do not expect you to understand”
“Why…?”
“Because your father was part of the people who got my mother and my sister killed, I wanted you to pay.”
“Then why didn’t you kill me, you had plenty of opportunities.”
“Sometimes the children do not have to pay for their fathers sins.”
“I don’t believe you, there is no way that you can be that good an actor.”
“What do you want me to say? That I loved you? The truth is I was about to kill you but my father sent his people to stop me because he has gone soft.” With those angry words she stormed out of the gazebo and I watched her walk towards her house. Almost instantly the servant materialized from out of nowhere.
I wanted to talk to Samiya again but he led me in a different direction and back to my room. He did not lock it when he left. I was alone caught between a myriad of emotions. I knew I had to get out but I could not leave Samiya behind.
Had she been brainwashed? Why was she pretending that nothing had ever happened between us? I was devastated. I wanted her to be alive but not like this. I wanted her to be alive with me.
Later that night I heard movement in my room. I opened my eyes. In the faint moonlight I could make out Samiya’s silhouette, I wanted to say something but she put a finger to her lips signaling me to keep quiet. She sat on the bed before she decided to lie down next to me. When I put my arms around her she did not fight or put me away.
This was how it had been only a few weeks ago before the world came in and destroyed everything.
I could feel her heart beating. She turned around and faced me. She looked into my eyes and I could see the regret in them. I moved my head closer to hers and tried to kiss her but she turned away. She wanted to rise from the bed but I held her tight and drew her closer and I pulled her face close to me and kissed her lips.
I kissed her nape she stiffened but relaxed as I moved upwards and nibbled her ears, she enjoyed that and I knew she would not resist. She muffled a moan. My hands moved from her stomach and I began to caress her breasts through the fabric of her body. I felt it harden, she might have pretended that she didn’t want to be touched but her body told a different story. I was like a skilled sculptor artfully mastering her body.
I unzipped her dress but the way we were positioned I still could not do what I wanted, I gently raised her from the bed and I began peeling of her clothes. I kissed her gently as her dress fell to the ground. I caressed her breasts through the sheer bra; my other hand unclipped the bra and was left to stare at her firm breasts. Something caught in my throat as I felt her hands help me out of my T-shirt. She was not just a bystander after a year in our sham marriage she knew how to make me feel like I was in another world.
Sensations ran down my spine and I felt the blood in my body heat up as it coursed through my veins. She kissed my nipple and undid the buckle of the belt that held my jeans.
They dropped to the floor and quickly followed the shorts. The only thing that stood between us was her panties. She pushed me only the bed and whilst I was seated she proceeded to remove the lace.
I could see her naked body through the moonlight. I tenderly scanned her with my eyes as I remembered how good it was to hold her well tined body in body. Her nipples glistened in the moonlight rays. Her flat belly tapered into a V shape as my eyes roamed further down. Delight nestled between her hips. I stood up from the bed and I drew her into my arms. I could see her smiling in the darkness. I did not have the time to question why she had been harsh on me earlier.
I suckled her nipples as her hands ran over my back. Without warning she suddenly withdrew and picked up her dress and evaporated from the room.
We had plans, we wanted a family but she said she had been lying and everything had been a game to her. Was letting me kiss her part of her game? I stopped thinking as I began to unzip her dress.
We stood up her dress fell to the floor, I unclipped her bra and her taut erect breasts hung in the air invitingly and I lay her back on the bed and began to explore.
Without warning she pushed me away and stood up. She resisted my attempts to pull her back. She evaporated into the night.
Maybe I had imagined everything. I felt the coldness running through my back. I abruptly woke up.
It had all been a dream I was still in captivity. Ayok had a stern look and he was not playing games.
“You have shown that we cannot trust you. Not that we trusted you. But if you do not give us the information that we desire we have no use for you and as such we will have to kill you.”
“You can kill me but you will never get Yusuf Ahmed. I am the only one who knows where he is.”
“I thought you said you did not know his whereabouts.”
“I was lying I know exactly where he is but if you want me to help you then you have to start treating me with respect.”
“How do we know you won’t run away again?”
“Because I realize that we have the same interests I also want to find him and I am in a dangerous place and you are my safety, I f I help you get Yusuf then you have to promise that you will let me go and you will not harm my wife.”
“I am a man of my word unlike you, your wife is dead but we promise not to harm her .Now give me his location."
“I am not sure but his daughter mentioned that she could see the ocean from her room and it was the only house in the area that looked towards the ocean.”
